What does UV50+ mean?

UV50+ means the fabric blocks 98% of ultraviolet radiation (UVA and UVB). It is equivalent to UPF 50+ sun protection rating, the highest rating for sun-protective fabrics.

Why does it have a half floor?

The half floor design is optimized for beach use. The front half has no floor, allowing you to sit directly on sand. The back half has a PE waterproof floor for sitting on clean ground. This design reduces weight and bulk while providing seating area.

Can it be used in the wind?

The shelter includes sand pockets and guy lines for wind stability. Fill the sand pockets with beach sand for ballast. For windy conditions (15+ km/h), use the guy lines with stakes. Not recommended for strong winds (25+ km/h).

Is it suitable for overnight camping?

No, this is a sun shelter, not a sleeping tent. It has no full floor, no rain fly, and no insect mesh. For overnight camping, please see our CG-017 or CG-018 models.
